Lobsters meet Bear!!!
An unexpected adventure for us on Saturday was meeting Chief Scout Bear Grylls. It was all very short notice, but we were invited down to the County Campsite at Drum Hill for an Explorer Scout and Young Leader Activity Day, with a visit from Bear as part of his “Bear in the Air” tour.
As well as taking part in shooting, archery, climbing, abseiling and other great activities, we got the opportunity to meet Bear as he dropped in on our climbing to say hello to us and shake claws with Larry.
Many thanks go to Tom Stoddart (County Commissioner), the rest of the County Team and the Staff at Drum Hill for pulling off such a fantastic day for us.
